Adobe Reader
Adobe reader is one option for viewing PDF files, a common document format on the Internet and here at the Law School.
Antivirus Software
If you are running Windows 10/11, you will have Windows Defender installed and activated on your computer.
Malwarebytes is an additional piece of antivirus software that will search your computer for affected files and delete all threats.
Box
BYU Box is a cloud content management tool, allowing you to access your content securely anywhere, on any device. BYU Box enables you to collaborate and share content between multiple departments in one simple tool.
BriefCatch
BriefCatch is a legal editing tool that is an add-on to Microsoft Word. For access please reach out to Prof. Gerdy Kyle. Also please note that BriefCatch only works on Windows, or Macs running Parallel.
Dropbox
Dropbox gives you secure access to all your files. Collaborate with friends, family, and coworkers from any device.
Examplify Instructions
Examplify is used to administer electronic exams on computers, such as your laptop. The following information will help you learn to install and use the Examplify software.
Office 365
With Microsoft 365 you get the fully installed Office apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and Access (Publisher and Access are available on PC only).
VLC Media Player
VLC Media Player can be used to play most multimedia files.

Zoom unifies cloud video conferencing, simple online meetings, and cross platform group chat into one easy-to-use platform.
