Members of the Association of Allied Health Professionals have voted to accept the collective agreement reached by their negotiating committee just prior to Christmas. Central Vote

Last Thursday, we attended the counting of the Central Health ballots at the Labour Relations Board. It is with the greatest regret that we had to announce that AAHP was unsuccessful in the vote. NAPE has been affirmed as the bargaining agent to represent allied health professionals in Central Health
In consultation with our legal counsel, Dana Lenehan, we fought the application as much as we possibly could. Our latest objection was to the timing of the vote.

AAHP Awards Scholarships

Since 2003, AAHP has awarded Five $500 scholarships to dependents of members. This year's winners were: Andrew Burry, son of Keith Burry, Prosthetist Orthotist Colin Thomas, son of Candy Thomas, Dietitian Jaime Chafe, daughter of Virginia Whitten, Social Worker Cameron Spinney, son of Catherine Spinney, Social Worker Rebecca Hedges, daughter of Annette Hedges.
The winners and their parents were invited to a special Scholarship Awards luncheon with our Board Members and Executive on Thursday, December 10th. Congratulations to all the winners - we wish you all the best in your continued education and future career...
